These illustrations were commissioned for a Pathfinder fortune telling deck by Paizo Publishing. Similar to a Tarot deck, each image corresponded with a spiritual concept—one of the nine alignments (a classic role-playing morality system,) matched with one of the six character traits (the game's physical and mental attribute system.) Through which, we arrived at combinations like lawful-good strength, or chaotic-evil charisma for example (the Paladin and Liar, respectively.)
This was the rare, super-fun project when my editors gave me pretty much free creative license. None of the concepts were rejected, though I think I redrew a couple.
Mike Selinker wrote accompanying game rules. You can buy it through Paizo here.
